Hospitality

SM Scotch High Tea Banquet Cocoa Village

Cypress Gardens

We were all together at a most significant time in our country's history, and we answered the call. Everyone  asks what can we do to help .. it's easy, join us for the camaraderie, the revelry, help us let the good times roll and to reminisce with friends and to gather in new friends, one can never have too many.

COCOA BEACH
Best Western Beach Hotel
 October 18-23

Florida reunions have traditionally been held at the Holiday Inn Melbourne Beach hotel with a top floor penthouse available for the hospitality suite. Unfortunately the Holiday Inn failed it's reconstruction, after taking a hurricane hit last year, and was not available for the reunion.

Our President, Joe Demes and wife Marylou (also association secretary) looked at many options to save the reunion and succeeded in securing the Cocoa Beach Best Western on the beach within 3 months of the reunion: WE WERE SAVED!

The Cocoa Beach Best Western proved to be a great location. The rooms were nice, hospitality was great and many other activities were available in the Cocoa Beach area. Once again, as always, hospitality is the glue that binds. Many thanks to Joe and staff (board members) and many others for the food, drink and camaraderie.

Thanks Also to WILMA for sparing us during our VISIT TO Florida.

Six days of non-stop Camaraderie: Happy Hour; War Stories; and, Good Food. Hospitality Suite hosted by Joe Demes and staff. Bill Senkel, Maureen Kelly and daughters Patrice and Kerry, Lori Sutherland and Bernie Weinberg's daughter were especially instrumental to our good time.

SM Scotch

Single Malt Scotch Club

Each evening draws to a close with a meeting of the club with a round of story telling and toasts. Central to the club is an age old tradition of Taun Taun in which the last and sole surviving member inherits the oldest and best bottle of Single Malt Scotch.

High Tea

High Tea

The second annual High Tea was held in a packed hospitality suite (standing room only). The first High Tea was held in Seattle. The attendance at this year's event was so large that it will become an annual highlight of our reunions: Thank You hospitality staff.
